Meet the real me

I've had this blog set up for a while, and my original purpose of setting up a blog was to have somewhere to look back when I'm old and gray and see how I evolved over the years. Recently I've become so obsessed with tutorials and reviews that I realized that I've become lost in this blog. Whilst i'm sure my reviews and tutorials are somewhat helpful to at least some of you, more so than a post about me...this is what I set the blog up for, so it's back to basics for me! It's time to take a minute and write something a little more meaningful.

This in no way means that the reviews and tutorials are stopping. Far from it. I just want to add a little bit of my personality in here so that you get to know the real me, rather than my opinions on certain products. I was half tempted to do a YouTube "Draw my life" video, and I may do that soon, but for now I'm going to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and open up to you all.

I have done some of those questionnaires that get passed all over blogger, over time on this blog, and whilst I know it does give you a little information about me, we are restricted to questions somebody at some point made up. Which of course, will have been relevant to them, or the person they were asking the questions to. Instead i'm going to write 5 random things about me.

I'm weird, and that's totally ok. For a long time, I used to try and "fit in" with friends, and then I realized. I'm unique, I'm different and that's how each and every one of us was meant to be. People try so hard to fit in with what they believe to be normal. The reality is, you're supposed to be you. We aren't robots, so live your life your way and do whatever it takes to be happy.

I secretly (ok, not so secretly) wish I had the courage to do daily vlogs. I have no idea what's stopping me, and I hope to someday get the kick up the butt I need to take the plunge and just do it. I think it's awesome that people have these videos to look back on years down the line, and see themselves as they are right now.

I hate people who cause drama. It's usually people who have nothing bad happening in their lives that do this, because they want attention. They will usually complain about anything and everything they can, even if it means making things up, just so that people ask them what's wrong and feel sorry for them. The truth of the matter is, nothing is wrong and they just want people to worry about them.

I believe in Christmas! The spirit of Christmas is such a powerful thing and I love it. I'm obsessed with everything to do with the holidays. Whether it's September or December, I don't really care. If I have an excuse to do some Christmas shopping, or watch a film about Santa, I'm totally on it! I love that I have a YouTube account just so that I can use it as an excuse to create holiday tutorials in September!

I'm totally loyal. I can count my true friends on one hand, and it's awesome. When I was younger, I hated it and wondered what was wrong with me. I guess I was just able to see bulls**t before it happened. Now it's a great thing. I know exactly who I can trust and rely on, and that's one of the most important things you can ever learn!

I hope this has given you a small insight into the real me. We'll be back to tutorials and reviews tomorrow :)

  2. great post, we shouldn't ever 'fit in' with friends, this is who we are and they should accept us just the way we are xx
