Healthy Halloween Treats

Halloween is a time where I generally give myself the freedom to eat as much chocolate and sweets as physically impossible. I always buy way too much candy for trick and treat visits, that I already know I will have a bunch left over. Although I have already bought a ton of candy for halloween, I thought it would be fun to make some healthy alternatives too! I'm planning a halloween party this year, and I want to give people the option of eating healthy. Thanks to my good friend pinterest, I picked up a ton of hints and tips and set out to make some spooky halloween treats that would please any healthy eaters around.

The first treat I created is this candy corn fruit cup

Ingredients:
Pineapple pieces
Tangerine/ clementine or oranges
Whipped cream (you could use the light option)

The recipe is pretty simple. Take a glass, and pour in a layer of pineapple pieces. Top with pieces of tangerines or clementines. You could use oranges here but I'd struggle to get them into my glass! Then top the whole lot off with whipped cream. You could then sprinkle over some candy corn if you want to be a little naughty. I plan on having a dish with some candy corn pieces in, and if people want to sprinkle them on to their fruit cups, they can!

My second creation is my chocolate banana ghost

Ingredients:
Banana
Chocolate chips

This recipe is even easier than the last. Simply peel your banana

Cut it into two pieces

Stand them up, and then pick out small chocolate chips for eyes and big ones for a mouth!

Push them into the bananas in the shape of a spooky ghost face, and voila your healthy halloween treats are ready to share with your friends & family (or eat all yourself!)

If you make either of these healthy halloween treats, let me know. I'd love to see pictures of your creations :)
