My soap and glory obsession

If I show you my soap and glory collection, you must PROMISE not to judge me! Ok, so I  have a "little" obsession with their products. By little, I mean freaking huge, haha. I got into soap and glory a couple of years ago when I found out about their Mother Pucker lip gloss. I just bought one to begin and OMG I was totally hooked. Whenever it's my birthday, or Christmas, my family just know to buy me soap and glory products and I'm totally in my element. I guess this post is a little random since I actually have no reason to be typing this, but I was just clearing out my room and I realized just now many soap and glory products I have so I was like eeekkkk I have a problem! Since a problem shared is a problem halved, here I am. I feel better now, haha!

I'd love to know what your favourite soap and glory products are. Please comment below to let me know. If I haven't already tried it out, i'll be sure to pick it up in my next shopping trip and let you know what I think :)

Goodbye pretty nails

So this week I've been doing a lot on a car, cleaning the interior and reupholstering it and my nails have got totally ruined. Yesterday I chipped one, today I bent one back so tonight I decided to just cut them really short. I pretty much always have long natural nails so this feels totally alien to me!

I figured its a bit random but if I make a post now, I can show you how quickly they grow. This looks totally ugly as my hands are a mess right now but I figured I'd show you anyway!

ruined nails
Update - it's now the 19th of Feb so it's been 20 days and these are my nails today. I haven't shaped them or anything yet because I wanted to show you how they grow themselves :)

Lush Sales Haul

I never used to be much of a fan of Lush products, but after seeing so many people talk about their bath bombs and other goodies on YouTube, I figured I'd give it a go. Since then, I've been completely obsessed! Needless to say, I was one of the idiots up ALL night waiting for the Lush Christmas sales to begin. I was lucky and managed to grab myself a bargain! I spent a total of £24.04 which included my £3.95 postage charge so I had a great deal. My haul included these lovely goodies

Christmas Eve Bubble Bar
Cinders Bath Bomb
Fizzy O'Therapy Bath Bomb
Golden Wonder Bath Bomb
Magic Wand Bubble Bar
Ma Bar Bubble Bar
Shoot for the stars Ballistic
The Christmas Penguin
The Melting Snowman
Star Light, Star Bright
So White Bath Bomb

Are you jealous? I so would be! Haha. I'm so happy with them. Weirdly enough, I've only used one so far and that was the Christmas Penguin. It was perfect after a hard day of work, and totally relaxed me. I can't wait to use the rest but i'm keeping them for special occasions since I usually take showers, so rarely get the chance to use these goodies.

I will update with my opinion on each one as I use them, and post a picture since I LOVE knowing what they're going to look like in water, so maybe that would be useful to some of you :)

Nilla Forever, My Story

You may be wondering where "Nilla Forever" came from, and I have been asked many times over both youtube and twitter. Almost 10 years ago, I met the man of my dreams. A few years later we found ourselves in church infront of our closest friends and family, becoming man and wife. When I started thinking of names for a business I was building (an online store selling baby products), he said, "what about Nilla?" I looked at him like huh? And he explained Nilla stood for NIck Loves LAura. Nilla was born! I then decided that since I plan on being with him forever, Nilla Forever was the perfect name for a blog about my, or rather our lives.

So about me, I'm Laura (as you now know) and i'm 28 years old. I live in England with my husband and our two snakes. Yeah, snakes! I wasn't too impressed when I first met him and he wanted to introduce me to his snake (hehe) but yeah, we have weird pets, but they're fun! I grew up in a small village in Wales with my family. Mum, Dad and three younger brothers. I had an amazing childhood and weirdly enough, i'm closer with my family now since I live so far away. It's annoying at times as I miss special memories and I'm missing seeing everybody change and grow up, but it makes the time I spend with them even more special.

I decided a few years ago to make a blog, I actually registered my website name so long ago but never really did anything with it. I then found myself last night thinking "Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to see what I got up to a year ago, maybe 2, 3?" Well by making this blog I can document all of the things I get up to, and i'll have somewhere to look back and reflect on all of the amazing things that happen to me.

I'm actually not too sure what i'm going to blog about to be honest with you, so I can't tell you exactly what you'll find here. I'm a shopaholic so i'm pretty sure i'll be updating a bunch of hauls that I do. Since i'm a photographer and website designer, I decided i'd also do some posts showing you how to do some "techy" things. I LOVE crafting, and learning how to do and make new things so I guess I can make some how-to posts too. I don't know, lets just see where this leads. I don't want to promise a bunch of things and end up letting you down. That's not me!

Well that's probably enough info about me to get us started, feel free to ask anything you like and i'll make sure to reply to you :)
